Antonio Corsi was said to have the most famous face in the world. He inspired legendary works of art that are still loved by millions.
Corsi elevated modeling to a serious profession, but his story is presently missing from the art history books. Even though his likeness is found in cathedrals, government buildings, museums and public spaces globally, very few experts are aware of the connection between these great works of art.

Our short film “Florence Knoll: I Am An Architect” will screen at the Palm Springs Art Museum, Palm Springs, California, on October 9, 2021. The film was produced for The Stewart Program for Modern Design and will soon be available for streaming at https://stewartprogram.org.
Palm Springs, a desert city inextricably linked to mid-century modernism in the US. That is mostly down to the number of spectacular projects built by the Swiss architect Albert Frey here in the 1950s and 1960s. Frey II: The Architectural Interpreter is the second installment in filmmaker Jake Gorst’s extensive portrait of this remarkable designer and student of Le Corbusier. Part one, Frey: The Architectural Envoy, was screened at AFFR in 2018. Featuring archival images, photographs and interviews, the film paints a portrait of a man who lived as a hermit above the city that had so much to thank him for.
